Flowers seen on my cooldown from my first Couch 2 5K run.  I hate running, but it's the only way I lose weight, and I need to lose weight because work stress has shot up my blood pressure.  (That, plus it's a sedentary job.)

I am going to try to plan my routes so I go by all the city's good yards, though, so that's something.

I always love your photos, especially the pretty flowers!

I loathe running and will not do it. Not even if a crazed Klingon was chasing me with a batleth. I know. I should. But, I bought an elliptical for under my desk. And my goal to start has been to peddle 10 miles a day. And I'm almost there today. It's still the easiest setting, but it's a damn sight farther and better than I was doing.

I have a goal for May. Hopefully I'll get there. I'll cheer you on your way, too!

I hate running with a passion, but I can never get enough of a sweat going on the elliptical, I have a freakishly low hartbeat.

That is AMAZING that you're getting that many miles in. My at-work health break has been to insist that interdepartmental meetings involve a walk around the block as many times as it takes to talk things through, and then phone alarms to get up and move. I haven't lost weight from any of that, but my mood and energy has been better from the literal change of pace that it represents.

I will be happy to cheer you on for May as much or as little as you want, just let me know!
